In Pattaya we stayed at Jomtien beach – a very comfortable location for living and working. We normally woke up, had breakfast, relaxed by the pool and worked. To get some food, we made a 30-minutes walk to our favourite cafe. We ate there or grabbed some food and went to the beach. Sometimes we swam in the sea. In the evening, we usually went to the night market and ate some fruits by the sea. Lovely time…
Pattaya is definitely a great location. It is by the sea so you can swim (even though the sea is not super good there). It is a city that means it has good infrastructure. There are shops, commercial centres, bars and restaurants. It is not far from Bangkok so you can always take a bus and visit the capital of Thailand. And what is most important is that the prices are really cheap!
For the New Year we went to Koh Chang – a beautiful island in Trat district. It took us 7 hours to get there. First by car, then ferry, then again car and we are in the hotel! Our friends invited us to join for the NY and suggested that we stayed in the hotel with them. We got prepared for the NY: in Pattaya we bought ingredients and made Olivie salad – this is a national Russia New Year salad. Everyone was happy! We had much fun during our stay there. We swam, ate, drank and danced :D Although we stayed just a couple days there we really enjoyed Koh Chang – it is a perfect place for couples and families!

2 years ago my husband and I stayed in Asia for almost half a year and… it was awesome! I was dreaming to go to Asia again (at least for a month). We were not going to do it this year, but unexpectedly we found cheap tickets to Bangkok! We made a plan of our journey, packed our clothes, booked apartments and hotels, and finally went to the airport.
As always, our journey was not simple. On our way to Bangkok, we had a 12-hours transfer in Doha. Qatar Airways, the best company we ever used, provided a complimentary stay in Marriott hotel in Doha. It was a great start! After 5 hours of extremely comfortable flight (with delicious food and non-stop alcohol :)) we landed in Doha and went to Marriott. Gorgeous hotel and awesome place to take a rest! We slept a bit, went for a short walk in the city and turned back to the airport. Qatar was our first Middle-East country which we really enjoyed! Super hot, expensive and luxury… but so unusual!
After 8 more hours in plane we successfully landed in Bangkok. The weather was unexpectedly cold! We jumped in the bus to Pattaya and after a 2-hours sleep we are in my fav city!

Сервисом WhatTheFont я пользуюсь давно для того, чтобы узнать, какой шрифт используется в дизайне. Узнать шрифт из веб-страницы очень просто, но угадать шрифт из картинки проблематично. На сервисе WhatTheFont можно загрузить скриншот и “распознать” шрифт. Но с приложением все в разы проще!
Теперь не нужно делать скриншот (иногда еще и редактировать изображение в фотошопе, чтобы шрифт был различим сервисом, к примеру, если картинка темная или в плохом качестве). Достаточно просто сделать фото и все! Шрифт распознан.
Затестируем :)
Ну здесь все просто. Это Georgia. Хотя первым вышел похожий, но все-таки неверный шрифт.
Вариант посложнее.
Это оказался Sheridan Gothic SG. Refugio похож, но видно, что засечки, да и не только они, отличаются.

У каждой ветки есть своя иконка. И каждая из них очень милая. Это не просто какой-то типовой значок. Это символы страны мореплавателей!
Из гугла:
Синяя линия называется “Линия чайки”, ее символ чайка летящая над волнами. “Линия подсолнуха” – желтая линия, ее эмблема, соответственно, подсолнух. Зеленая – “Линия Каравеллы” и на эмблеме как раз каравелла. Наверное это связано с тем, что линия идет до порта. И красная линия, самая молодая, “Линия Востока”, она идет на восток, а также на восточный вокзал “Ориенте”. Символ красной линии – роза ветров.
Такие иконки быстро запоминаются, и выстраиваются ассоциации, которые помогают ориентироваться в метро.
Особенно классные большие подсвечивающиеся на черном фоне!
Это иконка обозначает хамонерию — место, где подают хамон.
А сама иконка представляет собой хамонеру — специальную доску для нарезки хамона.
Глаз дизайнера ничего не упустит!
